  • Skyward Express, Safarilink, and Jambojet operate daily flights between Nairobi (Wilson Airport or Jomo Kenyatta International Airport) and Lamu. Flights are also available from Malindi and Mombasa airports. Please note that flight times are approximate and subject to change without notice.

    The earliest flight of the day is operated by Jambojet, departing from Wilson Airport at 9:00 AM and arriving at Lamu Airport at 10:20 AM.

  • Bembea House is self-catering, meaning fresh food is not provided, apart from basic pantry essentials such as sugar, oil, spices, flour, tea, and coffee.

    However, the house staff will handle all shopping, cooking, and serving based on your preferences. They can assist with menu planning and advise on the availability of local produce and fresh seafood. All shopping receipts will be provided, and cash payments will need to be made at regular intervals.

  • During your stay at Bembea House, you will enjoy:

    • Complimentary toiletries

    • Laundry services, with sheets and towels changed every three days

    • Wi-Fi access

    • The services of a dedicated team, including a cook, a steward, and a waiter

  • Each room is equipped with a personal safe, located beneath the sink in the ensuite bathroom. Operating instructions are provided for your convenience.

    Please note that Bembea House cannot accept responsibility for valuables left in your room.

  • Our boat captain will collect you from the airport, and upon arrival at the Shela jetty, the staff will meet you and assist with transporting your luggage to the house.

    Please note: Only one pickup and one return trip to/from the airport are included in the travel logistics.

    • Check-in: From 2:00 PM onwards

    • Check-out: By 11:00 AM

  • A night watchman (Askari) is on duty each night to ensure the security of the property.

  • A deposit of 50% is required to confirm your reservation.
